Erin Elizabeth Briggs is the director of training for the Mississippi Office of State Public Defender. Before taking over as training director, Erin worked as an appellate public defender. A native of Jackson, Mississippi, she is a proud 2003 graduate of Jackson State University and a 2006 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. Following law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to Chief Judge Leslie D. King of the Mississippi Court of Appeals. Erin is married to Micah Briggs, an elementary school teacher. Erin and Micah are the parents of Micah Jr., Maleah, Josiah, Jeremiah, Kassidy, and Uriah. The couple resides in Pearl, Mississippi.
